Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade is a symphonic suite composed in 1888 and based on the Tales of One Thousand and One Nights (AKA The Arabian Nights) as told by the young girl, Scheherazade.
This album was probably a favorite of Mr. Truman because the cover and sleeve show signs of wear from use. Also of interest is that the fireplace in the living room of the Truman Home is framed with tiles depicting a traditional Middle Eastern landscape with tents and minarets, likely inspired by One Thousand and One Nights.
